Les trois \u00e9tapes<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9t\u00e9 pass\u00e9 ma fille et moi p\u00eachaient. Nous avons g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un grand temps de la liaison et de communiquer pendant ces temps de p\u00eache. Car nous nous concentrions sur obtenir \u00ab\u00a0grand celui\u00a0\u00bb, elle, sans n’importe quel avertissement, m’a attrap\u00e9 outre de la garde et a dit, \u00ab\u00a0papa, je suis ainsi d\u00e9\u00e7u \u00e0 toi et \u00e0 l’\u00e9gard perdant d’AM pour toi.\u00a0\u00bb Ceci, \u00e0 son cr\u00e9dit et \u00e0 ma surprise, a r\u00e9orient\u00e9 mon foyer. \u00ab\u00a0Pourriez vous \u00eatre peu un plus sp\u00e9cifique\u00a0\u00bb, avez dit l’I. Elle m’a donn\u00e9 une liste de choses que j’avais commenc\u00e9es, mais n’avait pas fini. \u00ab\u00a0En r\u00e9sum\u00e9,\u00a0\u00bb elle a dit, \u00ab\u00a0vous ne finissez jamais n’importe quoi et c’est un mauvais exemple \u00e0 moi et \u00e0 David (son fr\u00e8re).\u00a0\u00bb Elle a \u00e9galement dit que la plus grande d\u00e9ception \u00e0 elle ne finissait pas le site Web fran\u00e7ais que j’avais commenc\u00e9 il y a quatre ans. Alors je suis entr\u00e9 dedans pour mettre en sc\u00e8ne 1 : justification. J’ai expliqu\u00e9 comment nous, Sharon et I, notification comment j’ai choisi de partager le bl\u00e2me en plus de justifier mes actions, avions rencontr\u00e9 des probl\u00e8mes techniques. Cette \u00e9tape de justification n’a pas fonctionn\u00e9 pour des raisons \u00e0 l’embarras \u00e0 raconter. Ainsi j’ai entam\u00e9 la prochaine \u00e9tape : promesses obscures et pas sinc\u00e8res. J’ai dit, \u00ab\u00a0Christina BIEN, je lui donnerai un regard et un essai diff\u00e9rents pour progresser.\u00a0\u00bb J’ai pens\u00e9 qu’elle oublierait \u00e0 temps et je pourrais avoir de la paix. Elle, \u00e9tant une jeune dame tenace a men\u00e9 la conversation en me faisant savoir qu’elle ne laisserait pas ceci aller jusqu’\u00e0 moi l’a fini ou s’\u00e9tait av\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 elle qu’il ne pourrait pas \u00eatre fait.<\/p>\n

Dans la r\u00e9trospection, je suis heureux de dire qu’elle a utilis\u00e9, pendant cette discussion, des techniques que je l’avais enseign\u00e9e au sujet de la puissance de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, ne devenant pas f\u00e2ch\u00e9e, et en utilisant des qualifications efficaces de communication. C’est bon. Mais, immobile j’ai d\u00fb adresser l’\u00e9tape trois : d\u00e9cision. J’ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 : elle avait raison. Chaque chose est tomb\u00e9e dans l’endroit, les probl\u00e8mes techniques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 facilement r\u00e9solus par le nouveau logiciel et le probl\u00e8me de traduction \u00e9galement a \u00e9t\u00e9 facilement r\u00e9solu. Ce site Web est tr\u00e8s passionnant pour Sharon et moi. Il y a une ligne tr\u00e8s fine entre le succ\u00e8s et l’\u00e9chec ; et Christina a jailli.<\/p>\n

J’ ai un probl\u00e8me additionnel : mon fils\u00a0se range du bon cot\u00e9\u00a0et m’a dit qu’il est \u00e9galement d\u00e9\u00e7u par moi, et perdra le respect \u00e0 moins que je finisse des autres projets que j’ai lanc\u00e9s il y a des ann\u00e9es. Je suis actuellement ind\u00e9logeable dans l’\u00e9tape 2.<\/p>\n

The Three Stages<\/p>\n

Last summer my daughter and I were fishing. We generally have a great time of bonding and communicating during these fishing times. As we were concentrating on getting the “big one”, she, without any warning, caught me off guard and said, “Dad, I am so disappointed in you and am losing respect for you.” This, to her credit and my surprise, redirected my focus. “Could you be a little more specific”, said I. She gave me a list of things that I had started, but hadn’t finished. “In summary,” she said, “you never finish anything and it is a bad example to me and David (her brother).” She also said that the greatest disappointment to her was not finishing the French website I had started four years ago. She said, “Dad, that is important, it is needed!”<\/p>\n

Then I entered in to stage 1: justification. I explained how we, Sharon and I, notice how I elected to share the blame in addition to justifying my actions, had encountered technical problems. Also, we couldn’t find anyone willing to perfect our crude translations. This justification stage didn’t work for reasons to embarrassing to recount. So I entered into the next stage: obscure and insincere promises. I said, “OK Christina, I will give it another look and try to make some progress.” I thought she would forget in time and I could have some peace. She, being a tenacious young lady finalized the conversation by letting me know she would not let this go until either I finished it or had proved to her it couldn’t be done.<\/p>\n

In retrospect, I am pleased to say that she employed, during this debate, techniques I had taught her concerning the power of truth, not getting angry, and using effective communication skills. This is good. But, still I had to address stage three: decision. I decided: she was right. Every thing fell into place, the technical problems were easily solved by new software and the translation problem also was easily solved. I won’t bore the reader with the details. This website is very exciting for Sharon and me. There is a very fine line between success and failure; and Christina did well.<\/p>\n

I do have an additional problem: my son is riding this band wagon and has told me that he is also disappointed with me, and will lose respect unless I finish another projects I started years ago. I am currently entrenched in stage 2.<\/p>\n
